Due to abnormal situations prevalent in the Southern Nagalim, the Yaruiwo of NSCN has directed for temporary suspension of all civil suits and cases of the Southern Nagalim before the National Court and Regional Court with immediate effect until further order.
The order issued by Col. Nganingkhui Longleng (Retd.), Chief Justice, National Court/GPRN on 10 September 2026 stated that “pursuant to the directive of His Excellency the Yaruiwo Vide order No. 16/GPRN/JUD/ORD-93/YO/26, dated 23/07/2026, whereby the Chief Justice, National Court of Nagalim is directed to place on suspension all the pending cases of the Southern Nagalim due to abnormal situation prevalent in that area.
“Therefore, it is hereby directed that:
I. All the Civil Suits and cases covered by the said order, whether before the National Court or the Regional Courts, shall be placed under temporary suspension until further order.
II. All Regional Courts within the Southern Nagalim shall remain suspended and shall not initiate any court proceedings, including registering new or fresh cases, issuing summons, conducting trials, issuing and pronouncing Verdicts or Orders, etc. during the period of this suspension.
“This order shall come into immediate effect and shall remain effective till further order from the Government. The order was issued under the authority of the National Court for compliance” stated the order issued by the Hon’ble Chief Justice, National Court of Nagalim.
