KTL: Champion Of 6-A-Side (Girls) School Football Tournament 2026

KTL Excel Higher Secondary School is the champion of the 6-A-Side (Girls) School Football Tournament 2026.

In the final match played today at Chara Futsal, KTL Excel Higher Secondary School defeated Oriental Naga Academy by a score margin of 3-1.

The top scorer of the tournament was awarded to Ngamleiphy Shimray (Jersey No.9) of KTL Excel Higher Secondary School. She scored 5 goals in the tournament. The player of the tournament was awarded to Ngrose Kasar (Jersey No. 3) of Oriental Naga Academy.

In the first semi-final match, KTL Excel Higher Secondary School defeated Little Angels’ English School by a score margin of 6-0. In the second semi-final match, Oriental Naga Academy defeated OTC Junior Academy by a score margin of 3-1.

The first of its kind in Ukhrul, the tournament is organised by the District Administration of Ukhrul in collaboration with the Zonal Education Office, District Programme Officer (ICDS Ukhrul), One Stop Centre- Ukhrul, Mere Yuva Bharat-Ukhrul, and District Youth Affairs and Sports Office- Ukhrul as a series of events under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme and ASMITA League/Khelo India Women’s League.

The final match was attended by Riamei Jangmei SDC Ukhrul, W. Shimreipam – DPO ICDS Ukhrul, Worchipem AC-District Youth Officer -Mere Yuva Bharat Ukhrul, Chonchuirinmayo Luithui – Central Administrator, One Stop Centre -Ukhrul and staffs of various departments.
