The 7th edition of Hill Districts Sports Association Manipur (HIDSAM) sports meet 2025 kickstarted today at Ukhrul Headquarters.

Ngamreiwung Luithui (MCS), SDO of LM Block, Ukhrul graced the opening ceremony as chief guest. Out of the 5 hill districts (traditionally 5 hill districts + Sadar Hills) only 4 districts are participating at the ongoing sports meet. Churachandpur DSA and Sadar Hills could not made it this year.

Ngamreiwung Luithui stated “play with integrity, compete with passion and always respect your opponents.. Winning is a fantastic feeling but what truly matters is the spirit of sportsmanship you demonstrate. Win or lose, remember that your participation itself is a victory. This tournament is your chance to shine and push your limits and create memories that will last a lifetime”. He also lauded the organsor for organising the tournament.

In the mens football tournament Ukhrul DSA defeated Tamenglong DSA by a score margin of 3-0. In another match, Chandel DSA defeated Senapati DSA by a score margin of 3-0. The final match between Ukhrul and Chandel will be played at 01:00pm at Ukhrul Headquarters Ground. Womens Volleyball matches will be held in the morning of Friday.
