Breaking News: 14 Kuki Detainees Released

Fourteen Kuki individuals who had allegedly been detained since May 13, 2026, were released and handed over to Senapati District Police on humanitarian grounds on Tuesday on 9 June 2026 at around 3:36pm.

The 14 individuals released are:

Thangtinlen Chongloi

Paotinkai Chongloi

Lunsei Chongloi

Kaimang Chongloi

Hengunsei Chongloi

Luntinlal Chongloi

Tonggoulen Chongloi

Sehginlun Chongloi

Sehminhao Chongloi

Paogoulhang Chongloi

Haominlun Kipgen

Lamgoulen Kipgen

Thanglemang Chongloi and Thangminlen Chongloi

Sources informed that the 14 kuki individuals were released in good, safe and sound condition.
