The Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long (TMNL) -Tangkhul Youth Council have taken up repairing works of the parking space at the District Hospital Ukhrul.

The initiative was taken up by TMNL through crowdfunding.

In this regard, several requests have been made by the Ukhrul hospital authority to the concerned authority for paving the ground of District Hospital Campus with asphalt or with a concrete cement block.

The worn-out pavements or parking space are filled with muddy waters and sludge during the rainy seasons making it impossible for the staff and visitors to this hospital to have a smooth access inside the Hospital rooms without muddying their shoes and dresses. It also became very dusty during the dry windy seasons causing a lot of inconveniences to the staff and patients alike and making it difficult to keep the room neat and tidy due to the dust which is blown in from this campus ground.

Ringphapam Kasar, President I/C of TMNl stated that “sensing that the present condition of the hospital campus is not a healthy environment for giving optimal patient care and medical attention to the patients where utmost cleanliness of the hospital environment both inside and outside of the Hospital is paramount and a necessity, the Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long (TMNL) has taken the initiative.” The arrangement for repairing the work started on 26 May 2026 and will be completed today.
