The vision of Sovereignty is the sole aim and the legitimate aspiration of the Naga people and nothing else, and Ao Senden stands by it. In the course of the Naga political journey there are difference of opinions and self inflicted divisions amongst the Nagas. However, these do not mean that the Naga political issue is in the sole domain of an individual, group of persons or faction.
In this context, the Ao Senden vehemently condemned the disparaging comments against Dr. S.C. Jamir, made on 16th September 2026 by V.S. Atem, Deputy Ato Kilonser NSCN (IM), stating that, Dr. S.C. Jamir is not mandated and authorized people, just talking for the sake of barking”, and by R.H. Raising, Member Steering Committee NCSN (IM), stating that, “Dr. S.C. Jamir is not an advocate of the Naga people, he does not have any right to talk about issue of Naga people”.
Any Naga citizen, who have a grasp of the Naga political scenario can comment and contribute his views to move forward the stagnated political process.
“Therefore, the Ao Senden asks the two leaders of the NSCN(IM) to retract their statements in the interest of the Nagas within 15 days, otherwise, the Ao Senden will take our own course of action” stated the press statement issued by Marsanen Imsong, President and Imtipokyim, General Secretary of Ao Senden.
