The Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim, Ministry of Information & Publicity has strongly condemned the unprovoked attack on volunteers of the Western Command of the Naga Village Guard (NVG) who were defending Bitiang village on 29 July 2026.

The condemnation note stated ‘this violent assault, which resulted in the killing of a Naga Village Guard, is a grave and unacceptable assault on the indigenous. Naga community’s right to security and protection.

“That the Zeliangrong United Front (Jiangchui), in collusion with CoBRA units of the Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), carried out this operation is abhorrent. The apparent alignment of India’s elite forces with armed aggressors undermines the neutrality and accountability of India.

“Our deepest condolences go out to the family of the fallen Village Guard. We mourn the loss of a brave Martyr who gave his life protecting his village and community. May the Almighty grant him eternal rest, and may his family be granted strength and solace in this time of grief” added the statement issued by the MIP of NSCN/GPRN.
