The proposed 40 years celebration of Tangkhul Cinema and 6th edition of Tangkhul Naga Film Festival 2026 slated on 29 April 2026 has been postponed indefinitely.

The press release issued by the President of TNFA, YL. Ravins stated that “the Tangkhul Naga Film Association (TNFA) announces the indefinite postponement of the 40 years of Tangkhul Cinema and 6th Tangkhul Naga Film Festival 2026, originally scheduled for 29th April to 1st May 2026.

“The decision has been taken in light of the burning situation in Manipur. TNFA had undertaken extensive preparations for the three-day event, themed “Celebration of Love and Legacy,” with confirmed participation from popular film artists and renowned singers across several states.

“TNFA deeply regrets the postponement and appeals to the concerned authorities for swift restoration of peace and normalcy in the region.

“The Association apologizes for any inconvenience caused to production houses, esteemed members, well-wishers and the wider film fraternity. Further updates will be communicated in due course” stated the statement issued by YL. Ravins, President, Tangkhul Naga Film Association.
