The Makui Village Authority strongly condemns the indiscriminate firing by Kuki refugees KNF-P and KRA, operating under the Suspension of Operations (SoO) and KNA- B (Kuki National Army Burma), an external force on innocent villagers of Makui at around 3:00 PM on 14 October 2026, while they were engaged in social work below the village main gate. The attackers fired automatic weapons from the Chaljang and Louthang areas, placing innocent civilians under grave threat.
This act of violence against unarmed villagers is utterly unacceptable. The lives and security of Makui civilians are at serious risk.
We urgently call upon the Government of India, the Government of Manipur, and all concerned security agencies to intervene immediately, stop the firing, and ensure civilian protection.
We demand a thorough investigation and strict legal action against KNF-P, KRA, and KNA-B. The safety of innocent civilians cannot be compromised. We demand immediate protection, accountability, and justice for Makui village. The authorities must act decisively before more innocent lives are lost.
