The Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim, Ministry of Information and Publicity, CHQ, Hebron has strongly condemned the reported drone attack on the residence of NSCN-K (Yung Aung) Brigadier Akham Konyak at Langkho village and Mt. Horeb Camp in Myanmar’s Naga Self-Administered Zone.
The statement issued by the MIP, NSCN/GPRN stated that “we condemn in the strongest possible terms the reported drone attack on the residence of NSCN-K (Yung Aung) Brigadier Akham Konyak at Langkho village on 3 October 2026, which allegedly resulted in the deaths of two innocent civilians, as well as the reported drone attack on Mt. Horeb Camp in Myanmar’s Naga Self-Administered Zone in the early hours of 11 October 2026, in which approximately sixty explosive devices were allegedly dropped.
“An act of this nature- indiscriminate in its method, disproportionate in its scale, and reckless in its disregard for human life cannot be justified under any political, military, or ideological pretext.
“We stand in solidarity with all Naga people across artificial boundaries, irrespective of political differences. We respectfully call upon all concerned parties, regional stakeholders, and international observers to ensure a transparent, impartial, and credible investigation into the incident, so that those behind this atrocity may be identified and held fully accountable.
“Lasting peace in the region cannot be built upon the destruction of camps or the political marginalisation of a people. Dialogue, rather than the use of drones, must remain the primary instrument for the resolution of differences.
“With reference to the allegations circulating in the aftermath of the drone strike on Mt. Horeb Camp, it is categorically stated that the NSCN/GPRN had no role, whether direct or indirect, in the planning, authorisation, or execution of the said attack. No personnel, equipment, or aerial assets under the command or control of the NSCN/GPRN were deployed in the vicinity of the location on the date in question. Any claim or insinuation to the contrary is without foundation, misleading, and is unequivocally rejected” stated the statement issued by the MIP, NSCN/GPRN on 13 October 2026.
