The Government of the People’s Republic Of Nagalim, Office Of the Central Administrative Officer, Wung Tangkhul Region has condemned the unruly behaviour of Kuki militants and warned that any such undesirable act to spread fear and insecurity among the travelling passengers in the Naga areas shall be responded in the befitting manner.

In a press release issued by NG. Athot, Secreatry, Wung Tangkhul Region, GPRN stated that, “the unwarranted incident that took place on the 8th September, 2025 at Molnom Kuki Village in Ukhrul District, where the unruly Kuki militants stopped a public bus travelling between Sinakeithel to Imphal, is being pursued with all seriousness by the National Socialist Council of Nagalim. The very manner of the Kuki militants that entered the bus to check the mobile phones of the passengers is not only provocative but playing with the nerves of NSCN. The Wung Tangkhul Region of GPRN/NSCN condemns the uncultured Kuki militants in the strongest terms. We shall put on record that any such undesirable act to spread fear and insecurity among the travelling passengers in the Naga areas shall be responded in the befitting manner. NSCN shall henceforth remain vigilant to check the activities of the Kuki militants.”

Meanwhile, the Foothill Naga Coordination Committee (FNCC) has also strongly condemned the outrageous act committed by armed Kuki militants on the morning of September 8, 2025, wherein a passenger bus traveling from Sinakeithei village was forcibly stopped and frisked at Molnom village. This bus, carrying innocent passengers from Sinakeithei, a Tangkhul Naga village under Ukhrul Central Subdivision, was subjected to unlawful checking, harassment, and intimidation.

The press release reads “such audacious behavior by Kuki militants is an unprovoked provocation and an intolerable insult to the dignity and security of the Naga people. The Kukis have absolutely no right, moral or legal, to encroach upon the privacy, security, and freedom of movement of Naga passengers in our ancestral land.

“FNCC categorically warns that unless the responsible Kuki militants immediately tender a public apology or issue a clear explanation for this brazen misconduct, the FNCC shall be compelled to take decisive counter-measures. Let it be made absolutely clear: every Kuki individual passing through Foothill Naga areas will be held accountable and met with strict counter-action.

“The FNCC reaffirms that the Naga people will not tolerate any infringement upon their ancestral land, freedom, or dignity. The continuing provocations by Kuki militants will only invite unavoidable consequences. The onus now lies with the Kuki leadership and their armed groups to restrain their cadres and respect peaceful co-existence.’
