The Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim has condemned the killings of two Naga civilians near Yaolen Kuki village on 18 April 2026.

The statement issued by the MIP, NSCN/GPRN stated that “the National Socialist Council of Nagalim condemns in the strongest possible terms the brutal killings of the two common commuters Chinaoshang Shokwungnao of Tashar Village and Yaruingam Vashum of Kharasom CC Village-near Yaolen Kuki Village on the 18 April, 2026 by Kuki SoO cadres. This flagrant behavior of the kuki Militants who are being sheltered by the Indian Security Forces under SoO has exceeded all tolerance limits. Their aggressive provocations not only escalates tensions but also inch towards a complete failure of the so called Indian state mechanism. The Nagas will be compelled to pursue all available defensive measures to safeguard our land and sovereignty.

“It is no longer a mere claim: multiple local reports and testimonies confirm collusion between Indian security forces and Kuki armed groups under SoO. This aims to undermine the political situation in Nagalim and destabilize the neighboring region through proxy wars disguised as ethnic conflict.

“The machination of Kukis by the Indian government, a remnant policy of the old British Rule to serve their interest is certainly paying dividends trying to sabotage the Naga movement.

“We strongly condemn the loss of innocent lives and call for an immediate, independent, and transparent investigation into the incident” added the statement issued by MIP, NSCN/GPRN.
