RAMP Scheme Launched In Ukhrul

Ukhrul launched the World Bank supported Central Sector Scheme “Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance” (RAMP) today at DRDA Hall, Mini Secretariat, Ukhrul. The programme which also included an awareness programme of UDYAM registration was organised my General Manager(GM), District Industries Centre (DIC), Ukhrul & Kamjong. 

Gracing the event as the Chief Guest, Asish Das (IAS), Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul launched the scheme in the district. It may be mentioned that RAMP scheme was earlier launched in the country by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 30th June, 2022.

As the functional President, Themreiyo T. Awungshi, GM- DIC, Ukhrul & Kamjong highlighted on the importance of UDYAM registration in respect to availing the RAMP Scheme. He added that the scheme aims to scale up the implementation capacity and coverage of MSMEs with impact enhancement of existing MSME schemes by fostering innovation, encouraging ideation, improving practices and processes, enhancing market access, promoting greening initiatives, scaling up guarantees to women-owned micro and small enterprises etc. 

Speaking as a resource person, Lily Rose Jajo, Director of UCRMS, Ukhrul/Kamjong emphasised on the importance of UDYAM registration. She also encouraged the trade owners to have consistency and determination in operating their trade. 

TS John Monsang, General Manager of SBI, Ukhrul, also speaking as a resource person, spoke about the importance of Banks under credit linked Govt. Schemes. He also pointed out on the importance of treating personal and business account differently. 

With more than hundred attendees, including officials and staffs from various departments, the programme ended successfully.
