Second Runner Up Miss RKL 2026 Wonchui Rungsung, daughter of Leiyah Rungsung and Shinmila Rungsung of Chingai Village aspired to be a social worker to support and lend a helping hand to those in need.

Wonchui Rungsung stated “i enjoy sitting with people, listening to their stories, and learning from their experiences. As a girl who deeply admires journaling, I also love to express my thoughts and reflections through writing journals.”

Sharing her experience at Miss RKL 2026, she stated, “it was a transformative and an eye opening journey for me. It was a journey of self-discovery, discipline, and resilience that taught me confidence, teamwork, and the importance of not giving up.”

Wonchui added “the journey was not easy. I faced discouragement for my height and, as the shortest contestant, struggled with rigid beauty standards that often define pageantry today. These comments affected my confidence and made the journey challenging. However, with God’s grace, the constant support of my family and friends, and the guidance of our mentor Ms. Cecilia Zimik, who ensured fairness and guided us at every step, I found the strength to believe in myself. This journey will always remind me that at my weakest point, when I feel like giving up, if I place everything fully into God’s hands, He is in control, He commands, and He will take charge.”

“In the days to come, I wish to uphold the duties and responsibilities entrusted to me and strive to lead an exemplary life. I do not intend to continue my journey in beauty pageantry; instead, I will focus on excelling in my professional work. At the same time, I will remain committed to supporting and uplifting others who are in need, in whatever way I can. I hope to move forward with purpose, humility, and a heart ready to serve” added Wonchui Rungsung.

19 year old, Wonchui Rungsung is currently pursuing Bachelor of Social Work at Don Bosco College (Autonomous), Maram and aspire to become a professional social worker and to support and lend a helping hand to those in need.
