Newly crowned Miss RKL 2026, 19 years old Thotdharmi Shimrang Shimray, hailing from Peh Village (Paoyi) aspired to be a psychologist. Using her platform as Miss Raphei 2026, she aims to promote mental health as a shared social responsibility.

Speaking to Rural Post, Thotdharmi Shimrang Shimray stated “after being crowned as Miss RKL 2026, my focus is to carry the title with responsibility and purpose. While women in our culture may not always inherit wealth or property, our true strength lies in our values, character, and vision.”

She shared, “I aim to promote Miss RKL as a platform that nurtures women of substance—leaders who uphold integrity, faith, and strong moral values. Having witnessed the impact of drug addiction and lack of direction among youth, I plan to use my voice to raise awareness on mental health and environmental responsibility, working alongside support systems and government initiatives.

“This crown marks not an end, but the beginning of a journey driven by service, faith, and meaningful change.”

Thotdharmi Shimrang Shimray is a second-year undergraduate at Mount Carmel College, Bangalore, pursuing Psychology, Economics, and Literature. She has found grounding through journaling and meditation, shaping her understanding of mental well-being.

A church usher for over four years, she values faith and community service. She carries a strong advocacy for mental health awareness and aspires to become a psychologist, using her platform as Miss Raphei 2026 to promote mental health as a shared social responsibility.

“I am deeply grateful for witnessing the diverse potentials and qualities each contestant carries, beautifully guided and groomed by Miss Cecilia Zimik. This journey helped me understand the true essence of womanhood and discover who I am and why I am here—an experience I will cherish for a lifetime. I am thankful for the opportunity to gain deeper perspectives on life, women, equality, and today’s social issues, which have broadened my vision and strengthened my purpose” stated Thotdharmi Shimrang Shimray.

She also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the RKL Committee for creating such a meaningful platform and for taking care of us throughout the journey.

“Congratulations to the two winners beside me and to all the dedicated contestants—you all are truly inspiring. Lastly, thank you to all the supporters from every corner for believing in me” added Miss RKL 2026.
