6th Manipur Rifles Distribute Drinking Water To Students At Ukhrul

As part of public relations building measure the 6th Manipur Rifles Battalion, Ukhrul on Wednesday distributed drinking water at two locations at the Ukhrul Headquarters specially for students. The yeoman service by the 6th Manipur Rifles has brought much relief to the people when the Ukhrul Town is facing an acute shortage of water.

The distribution of drinking water was carried out at Greenland, near St.Joseph College and near Angawadi Centre.

Deputy Commandant of 6th Manipur Rifles Ukhrul, Thotreithing Chalamvah informed that similar activities will be taken up on 27 February 2026 at Seipet Zingsho Phungreitang (Circular Road) near KTL Excel Higher Secondary School at around 4:30 pm.

He also informed that on 2 March 2026, and 4 March 2026, similar activities will be taken up at different locations targeting those students who are giving exams. Exact locations and time will be notified later.
