The Kuki CSO Working Committee Ukhrul has called for an indefinite shutdown along National Highway 202 in response to the barbaric ambush between Kotjim and Kotlen in Kangpokpi District, Manipur.

The statement issued by the Department of Information and Media, WCKCSOS-Ukhrul stated that, “WCKCSOS-UKHRUL vehemently condemns the barbaric ambush between Kotjim and Kotlen in Kangpokpi District earlier today, which brutally claimed the lives of three innocent pastors.

“Attacks on men of God are utterly unacceptable and strike at the very conscience of humanity and faith.

“In response to this heinous and unforgivable act, WCKCSOS-UKHRUL hereby imposes an immediate and indefinite shutdown along NH-202 until the perpetrators are identified, arrested, and booked under the law.

“We demand swift and uncompromising action from the authorities and continued silence and inaction can no longer be tolerated.”

Further, WCKCSOs-Ukhrul is organizing a candle Light Vigil in honour of the innocent souls lost in the tragic attack. All concerned citizens and well-wishers are requested to join in solidarity and prayer.
