The Katho Katamnao Long has lauded the initiative of Royal Gymnasium, Ukhrul for their initiative in shaping the young talents of Ukhrul.
The team led by President of Katho Katamnao Long, Mathotmi Kasar on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to Royal Gymnasium Ukhrul as a sign of support and solidarity to the athletes who have participated in the 2nd edition of Mr. North East India and Physique Championship which was held recently at Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima on 11- 13 September 2026.
7 Tangkhul athletes among 11 athletes selected represented Manipur in the Championship. Manipur Got the Team Champion by getting 7 Medal Tally out of which 5 comes from Ukhrul District. The winners are:
1.M.Pihimas got Bronze medal in 55kg Open Men’s Bodybuilding
2.Lungreishim Kasar got Bronze Medal in 60kg Open Men’s Bodybuilding
3.Worthan Lunglo got Gold Medal in 60kg Men’s Bodybuilding Open Category
4.Mishap Khapai got Gold Medal in 65kg Men’s Bodybuilding Open Category
5.Phila Yangya got 5th place in Open Women’s Model Physique
While Thuiling Muivah and Ngashingpam Ragui has participated in the Open Women’s Model Physique and 65kg Open Men’s Bodybuilding respectively.
All the athletes are trained at ROYAL GYMNASIUM UKHRUL under the guidance of Robert Leishangthem.
