South-East Tangkhul Co-ordination Committee Constitutes Office Bearers

The South-East Tangkhul Co-ordination Committee (SETCCOM) has constituted its office bearers, Executive Committee Members and its Advisory Board Members and an oath of secrecy was administered to the committee in the presence of the Chairman, Tangkhul Naga Aze Longphang and the Chairman, Tangkhul Naga Zingsho Longphang on 22 July 2026 at Shingkap Village.

As endorsed by the People’s Convention held at Lungphu village on 18th June, 2026 under the aegis of Tangkhul Naga Aze Longphang and Tangkhul Naga Zingsho Longphang, a Committee named “South-East Tangkhul Co-ordination Committee” (SETCCOM) has been constituted to meet the long-felt need of the people.

The Office Bearers, Executive Committee Members, and Advisory Board Members of the Committee were formally installed after taking an oath of secrecy administered in the presence of the Chairman, Tangkhul Naga Aze Longphang and the Chairman, Tangkhul Naga Zingsho Longphang on the 22nd of July 2026 at Shingkap village. The Committee shall work for the well-being of the South-East Tangkhul people and of the same residing in different areas of Manipur.

The Aims & Objectives of SETCCOM are:

1. To safeguard territorial land rights and promote the socio-political, cultural, traditional, and economic interests of the South-East Tangkhul people.

2. To act as a co-ordinating body among South-East Tangkhul villages and communities residing in different parts of Manipur.

3. To address grievances and represent the collective voice of the South-East Tangkhul people before the Government and other authorities.

4. To work for peace, unity and communal harmony among all communities while protecting the rights and identity of the South-East Tangkhul people.

5. To facilitate developmental activities in the fields of education, health, infrastructure, and youth welfare in South-East Tangkhul areas.

6. To preserve and promote Tangkhul language, customs, traditions, natural environment and heritage.

7. To extend humanitarian assistance during times of natural calamities, distress, and emergencies.

10. Mr. Shangreiso Khodang – Executive Committee Member, Media In-charge, Ukhrul Base

11. Mr. Tharza Kashung – Executive Committee Member

12. Mr. Winson Shinglai – Executive Committee Member

13. Mr. Wungshungmi Kasar – Executive Committee Member

“The South-East Tangkhul Co-ordination Committee shall function in cordial co-ordination with the apex bodies of Tangkhul Naga Aze Longphang and Tangkhul Naga Zingsho Longphang to fulfill the above objectives for the welfare of the South-East Tangkhul people in particular and the Tangkhul Naga as a whole in general” stated the statement isued by the Information & Publicity Cell, South-East Tangkhul Co-ordination Committee, Kamjong District, Manipur.
