Landslide at Nungshit Haibi has completely cuts off vehicular movement at Kasom area.
According to reports, the landslide at Nungshit Haibi due to incessant rain has cuts off most of the villages at Kasom Block under Kamjong District. The connecting road is the lifeline of the people of Chongdan, Ashang Khullen, Kangoi, Khamlang, Kasom Khullen, Mawai, Kasom Khunou, Khunthak, Tarong, Nambashi Valley, Nambashi Khunou, Nambashi Khullen, Kashung, Namlee, Wangli, Pungtung, Khonglo etc.
Construction of Yairipok- Kasom Khullen – all weather road, has greatly helped the livelihood of the people living in the border areas.
Immediate attention is needed to clear the debris by the concerned authority specially for the people living in the border areas.
