The Pipping Ceremony of 68 newly promoted Deputy Rangers was held at Forest Head Quarters, Sanjenthong, Imphal on Friday.

In a significant boost to the state’s forest management cadre, a formal Pipping Ceremony for 68 newly promoted Deputy Rangers was held today at the Main Conference Hall of the Forest Headquarters in Sanjenthong, Imphal.

The ceremony was presided over by Anurag Bajpai (IFS) Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Head of Forest Force (PCCF & HoFF), who officially decorated the officers with their new rank insignia.

The event blended traditional ceremony with modern connectivity to ensure state-wide participation. While senior officials of the Forest Department attended in person at the headquarters, the function maintained an inclusive reach – concerned officers and promotees from Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, and Pherzawl joined the proceedings via online platforms.

Addressing the gathering, Anurag Bajpai emphasized that while the promotion is a milestone of personal achievement, it carries a deeper weight for the department’s mission. ”This is a moment of immense pride for the department. However, a new position inevitably brings more responsibilities. Our Deputy Rangers are the backbone of field operations, and we look forward to their enhanced contribution toward protecting our natural heritage” stated Anurag Bajpai.

The PCCF concluded the ceremony by wishing the newly appointed Deputy Rangers success in their future endeavors and urging them to maintain the highest standards of integrity and dedication in their service.
