Dr. Neiphiu Rio To Attend Lui-Ngai-Ni At Ukhrul

The Chief Minister of Nagaland, Dr. Neiphiu Rio is all set to attend the seed sowing festival “Lui-Ngai-Ni” at Ukhrul Headquarters on Sunday.

This year’s Lui-Ngai-Ni is themed “Cultural Renaissance”. The annual seed sowing festival is celebrated under the aegis of the United Naga Council. The two-day event this year will be hosted by Tangkhul Naga Long.

Eno Losii Dikho, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur will be the guest of honour. Eno Khashim Vashum, Hon’ble MLA, 45-Chingai (ST) A/C will be the host of Lui-Ngai-Ni.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Nagaland will depart from Dimapur Airport Chumoukedima by state helicopter at 09:20am on 15 February 2026 and will arrive at Pakshi Ground, Ukhrul, Manipur helipad at 10:10am. From there the CM will move by road to Ukhrul Headquarters Ground, the venue to attend the opening ceremony of Lui-Ngai-Ni.

Sources informed that the Hon’ble Chief Minister will be accompanied by Chingwang Konyak, advisor to the Chief Minister, Apong Pongener, advisor to Chief Minister, Achumbemo (MLA), Rusemtong Longkumer, PRO to Chief Minister and Melite Kapfo OSD (security) to Chief Minister.

Eno Dinganglung Gangmei, Hon’ble Chairman, HAC & MLA, 54-Nungba (ST) A/C will be the main celebrant. Eno Awangbow Newmai, Hon’ble MLA, 52-Tamei (ST) A/C & President, Naga People’s Front, Manipur State Unit will be the Principal Celebrant.

The honoured celebrants for introductory are Eno Ramnganing Muivah, Hon’ble MLA, 44-Ukhrul (ST) A/C., Eno J. Kumo Sha, Hon’ble MLA, 47-Karong (ST) A/C. The honoured celebrants for inaugural are Eno Janghemlung Panmei, Hon’ble MLA, 53-Tamenglong (ST) A/C., Dr. Puneet Kumar Goel, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur.

The honoured celebrants for valedictory are Dr. SS Olish, Hon’ble MLA, 41-Chandel (ST) A/C., and Eno Leishiyo Keishing, Hon’ble MLA, 43-Phungyar (ST) A/C.
