The Hunphun Katamnao Long (Ukhrul Students’ Union) on Saturday successfully conducted the Open Competition Examination organized for students of Classes VI to X at Ukhrul Headquarters.

Zingvap Sareo, Publicity & Information Secretary, HKL stated that “a total of 20 schools participated in the examination, with around 800 students appearing for the open competitive exam. The event aimed to promote academic excellence, strengthen learning habits, and build confidence among students in a competitive environment.”

A notable aspect of the examination was the inclusion of Naga History, underscoring the paramount importance of acquainting the younger generation with the rich cultural heritage and storied past of the Naga people. This initiative is a testament to the Union’s unwavering commitment to preserving and promoting the unique identity of the Naga community.

The Union extends heartfelt appreciation to all participating schools, students, teachers, invigilators, and volunteers for their active cooperation and support, which contributed to the smooth and successful conduct of the event.

Results of the competition will be declared soon, and meritorious students will be recognized and awarded for their outstanding performance.

Hunphun Katamnao Long reaffirms its commitment to fostering education and holistic student development through continued academic initiatives and community engagement.
