Tangkhul Naga Long Declares Emergency

The Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) the apex body of the Tangkhul Naga community has declared an emergency owing to the recent violence that has erupted and shaken the Wung Tangkhul region.

The declaration of emergency was necessitated following the series of violence at Sharkaphung/Sikibung village carried out by the Kuki. The act of arson, and firing with sophisticated weapons and checking and enquiring the movement of Tangkhul Naga people at different places and locations.

The declaration was proclaimed to advert any unwanted incident to the citizens of Tangkhul Naga. TNL has appealed to all its citizens to stay alert.
