MLA Losii Dikho Officially Takes Over As President of HIDSAM

Losii Dikho, Hon’ble MLA of 48-Mao Assembly Constituency on Saturday officially took charge as the President of Hill Districts Sports Association Manipur (HIDSAM) in a change of guard programme held at Jamning Valley, Senapati.

The programme was hosted by DSA Senapati in collaboration with HIDSAM. Representatives from Ukhrul DSA, Chandel DSA, Tamenglong DSA, Senapati DSA and Sadar Hills DSA attended the programme.

For promoting sports in the hill districts of Manipur, MLA Losii Dikho was unanimously elected as the President of HIDSAM for the tenure 2025-2029 at Ukhrul Headquarters on 30 October 2025. Another major development was the unanimous decision to nominate Alfred Kanngam Arthur, MP (Outer Manipur) as a consensus candidate of HIDSAM for the post of President of All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) in the coming AMFA election.

The 59 years old veteran politician and ardent football promoter Lossi Dikho, in his address stated that “I promise to carry forward the legacy of HIDSAM and I appeal to every DSA member of HIDSAM to extend your support and cooperation to the new team.” He lauded the outgoing President and Executive of HIDSAM for their active service and sacrifice and sought their guidance and direction even in the days to come.

The members present unanimously endorsed the newly elected President of HIDSAM and team to induct Vice President, Joint Secretary, Treasurer and other necessary executives for the smooth functioning of HIDSAM.

Churachandpur DSA has also issued a congratulatory message to the newly elected President Losii Dikho, Vice President (Admin) T. Joyshing Monsang and Secretary Tennoson Pheiray. “May your leadership bring progress and success to all the community, through sports” added the statement.
