TNTA And RTA Held Consultative Meeting At Kamjong Headquarters

A Consultative Meeting of Tangkhul Naga Timber Association (TNTA) and Raizan Traders’ Association (RTA) was held at Kamjong Headquarters on 15 October 2025.

TNTA and RTA has appeal to all the association members and timber traders to extend their cooperation for a smooth transport of timbers and other items.

The Associations (TNTA and RTA) have minutely discussed the issues in trading timbers and logs and resolved the following:

(1) All non-local traders (especially timber/logs) must report their presence in the areas of Kamjong and Ukhrul to the concerned associations.

2) All non-local traders are mandatory to consult local guides.

3. Fixation of timbers/logs rate will be done by the Associations. No individual is authorised to deal in fixation of rates.

The press released was jointly signed by YL. Rin, President of Tangkhul Naga Timber Association, Ukhrul District, Manipur, SD. Pharipam, President of Raizan Traders’ Association and Ningwon Kasar, General Secretary of TNTA.
