The Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) on Friday has appealed to all Naga Churches, organizations, institutions, families, and individuals to take up heart-rending prayer for the nation on every 3rd Sunday of October, which will be observed as Naga National Prayer Day.
This year, the prayer day will be observed under the theme: โO God, Heal Usโ (Hosea 6:1โ3)
Rev. Seksim Kasar, General Secretary of Council Of Nagalim Churches (CNC) in his appeal letter stated that, “we have known the grace and favor of God through generations. But we stand today at a critical point in our history. Our land is groaning under the weight of sin, division, corruption, and moral decay. Our forefathers built this nation upon faith, prayer, and sacrifice โ but now the foundations are shaken. We have turned from Godโs righteous ways.
“Today, unless we return to Him in humility and repentance, our land will not be healed, but destroyed. The first and foremost way to return to God and be healed is prayer. Therefore, we make this earnest appeal to all Naga churches, organizations, institutions, families, and individuals to take up heart-rending prayer for the nation, communities, villages, and your family on this Naga National Prayer Day, the 19th of October.
“We also appeal to you to remember and observe the Naga National Prayer Day, the 3rd Sunday of October every year, as an important occasion so that prayer may bind us together as a people.
“This yearโs theme, โO God, Heal Usโ (Hosea 6:1โ3), is both a cry and a call. We urge every Naga, wherever you are โ in villages, towns, cities, or abroad โ to join your hearts in prayer on this day. Let us rise early to seek His face, humble ourselves before His presence, and turn from every wicked and unrighteous way.
“For only when we return to God in truth and righteousness will our land be restored and our future secured. May the Spirit of God move powerfully among us as we cry out, โO God, Heal Us.โ Let this be our united prayer and solemn covenant before the Almighty.
“Let us come and return to the Lord. Let the Naga nation rise again โ healed, renewed, and united under God” stated the appeal by CNC.
