The “Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod” campaign was launched today at Ukhrul Headquarters at UDTWA Conference Hall, Phungreitang Ukhrul. Organised by the 45-Chingai Block Congress Committee, under the leadership of Wungpam Raikhan, Congress Leader of 45-Chinga AC, the event aimed to mobilize public support against corruption and advocate for accountability in governance.

Wungpam Raikhan stated “together, we reaffirm our resolve to strengthen democracy and stand united against the betrayal of the people’s mandate.” To develop our economy and standard of our livelihood we need to upgrade our education system, health care and road connectivity. Our basic needs have been left neglected and unattended by the present government.”

“NPF has become a silent spectator to the functioning and running of BJP. They have failed to safeguard the interest of the people. Let us move unitedly towards the forthcoming Manipur Assembly election 2027. There are 71 polling stations under the 45-Chingai Assembly Constituency. To penetrate the voters we must bank on the issues such as education, health and road,” stated Wungpam Raikhan.

“We the 45-Chingai Block Congress Committee sincerely and eagerly awaits the homecoming of Avakharar” added Wungpam Raikhan

The campaign saw participation from party workers from different corners of 45-Chingai Assembly Constituency, reflecting widespread support for the movement. Leaders highlighted the need to strengthen democratic processes and ensure accountability, urging citizens to reject corrupt practices and exercise their franchise responsibly.
