FC Raengdai: Champion of 2nd Manipur Premier League

FC Raengdai is the new champion of the Manipur Premier League. FC Raengdai defeated Asufii FC by a score margin of 1-0. Giftson Kamei (Jersey No. 8) of FC Raengdai scored the lone winning goal in 21 minutes.

The grand finale of the 2nd Manipur Premier League (MPL) 2025–26 was played on Sunday at the Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong, Khuman Lampak Imphal.

Joyshing Monsang Thumli was the match referee and the assistant referees are Rohit Meitei Laishram and Raja Meitei Laishram. Hemanta Singh was the fourth official.

During the intense final match, Okram Dayasagar Singh (Jersey No. 28) of Asufii FA received expulsion after he was booked in 31 minutes and again in the 90+5 minutes. Oinam Keiphaba Meitei (Jersey No. 4) of FC Raengdai was cautioned in the 35 minutes and Wangkheirakpam John Singh (Jersey No. 19) of Asufii FA was also cautioned in the 90 minute.

“The winner of 2nd MPL 2025-26 will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5 Lakh and the runner-up will be awarded Rs.3 lakh” stated L. Jyotirmoy Roy, General Secretary of AMFA.

Organized by the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA), the Manipur Premier League has continued to grow in popularity and prestige, serving as a vital platform for identifying and promoting footballing talent in the state.
