A 44 year old man from Thoubal district allegedly committed aggravated sexual assault against an 11 year old girl on 22 July 2025 at around 4:00 pm at his shop located at Ukhrul.
On receiving the information, Women Police Station, Ukhrul took cognizance of the report and subsequently registered an FIR case under POCSO Act against the perpetrator on 24 July 2025.
Ukhrul Police informed that the accused was arrested on the same day of lodging the FIR and was produced before the Court of the CJM, Ukhrul on 25 July 2025 and obtained remand for 6 (Six) days under Police Custody. His medical examination was also done today at RIMS.
“Safety and security of the victim child has also been ensured” informed Ukhrul Police.
