MP Alfred Kanngam Arthur Chair Disha Meeting in Ukhrul

MP Alfred Kanngam Arthur chaired the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DDCMC/DISHA) of Ukhrul District at DRDA Hall, Ukhrul on Monday.

The meeting was also attended by MLA Khashim Vashum, Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul, Asish Das (IAS) and district level officers. The meeting began at 9:00am in the morning and wound up at 8:10pm in the evening.

In the intense and comprehensive meeting, 27 departments gave power point presentations on their various works and challenges.

The Chairman of DISHA, MP Alfred Kanngam Arthur reviewed the various activities being taken up by the respective departments. He appealed to the line departments to deliver the works assigned to them in bringing positive change to the community and assured all possible help from his side.

There are 98 schemes under DISHA. “Let us work as a team to bring positive changes in the district. There should be no lapses, our people should get the maximum benefits and we are accountable to the people” stated MP Alfred Kanngam Arthur.

MLA Khashim Vashum, member of DISHA also appealed to the line departments to work sincerely while delivering schemes and projects to the people.

The next DISHA meeting will be held in the month of September and the Chairman has instructed some of the departments to prepare and present updated reports in the next meeting.
