Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW) congratulated Sano Vamuzo on being conferred the Baptist World Congress Quinquennial Human Rights Award for lifetime achievements presented by the Baptist World Alliance (BWA).

A well deserved honour who has dedicated her life, especially championing the causes of women, the rights and dignity of others for a more compassionate society.

She was also the First Chairperson of NSCW when it was first commissioned in Nagaland State in 2007, a pioneer who has been strongly advocating for womenโ€™s representation in the state and beyond.

It may be mentioned that she was conferred the prestigious Padma Shri Award 2024 in recognition of her distinguished service in the field of Social Work.

“It is a proud moment for NSCW and every Naga Woman in general. Once again congratulations Sano Vamuzo and wish you good health and continued strength and success in all your future endeavours” stated NSCW
