Wungreithei Lungharwo of Lunghar Village wins the coveted title “Mr. Ukhrul 2025” and Leishimi Raihing of Shangshak Village was crowned Women’s Model Physique 2025. Paotam Vashum of Razai village wins the Men’s Model Physique and Worthan Lunglo of Ramva village wins the Junior Men’s Body Building title.
The competition was held at Town Hall, Ukhrul on Saturday, organised by the Body Building Association of Ukhrul District (BBAUD) in collaboration with the Healthy Circle Foundation under the aegis of AMBBA.
Attending the 2nd edition of Mr. Ukhrul Body Building and Model Physique Championship 2025, as Chief Guest, Dr. IK. Muivah (IPS), ADGP of Manipur, in his speech lauded the initiative of BBAUD. “I really appreciate Robert Leishsngthem, proprietor of Royal Gym Ukhrul for promoting body building and fitness in Ukhrul in a very professional way. There is a need for bringing fitness revolutioon in Ukhrul. Our youth has so much potential to compete in body building or various sports. ”
Dr. IK. Muivah continued, “health and fitness is very important in our life. Fitness is beyond health. Good health without exercise can deteriorate our health. Therefore one must indulge in exercise for optimal health and well-being. When we develop the culture of going to the gym, we can also curb the menace of drug addiction and other social menace. It is so encouraging to see our youngster competing in state, national and international level in body fitness. When you get laurels in national and international level, the sports persons get inducted in various departments. I would extend all my possible help in such situations.”
Guest of Honour, Tennyson Kashung, President of Tangkhul Naga Awunga Long stated that “health is the greatest wealth. One must maintain good health, body and mind for a productive society. Good health is more valuable than material wealth, like money or possessions. I wish BBAUD best wishes in their endeavor.”
