Ukhrul Launches Viksit Bharat–G RAM G

The District Administration of Ukhrul today formally launched the Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission Gramin (VB-G RAM G) Act, 2025 formerly known as the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), 2005 at DRDA Hall, Mini Secretariat, Ukhrul Headquarters.

The event opened with a welcome address by Dinringam Kamei, SDO/BDO Ukhrul, who briefed attendees on the objectives of the new VB-G RAM G scheme. The launch was followed by a detailed briefing on the provisions and implementation modalities of the Act.

While addressing the grand speech, Uppuluri Chaitanya, IAS, the Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul highlighted on the services that one can benefit from the government. He further stated that, as a patron of the society, it is the duty of the people of Ukhrul to make sure that the rural landscape or rural infrastructure is developed so that Vikshit Bharat 2047 is achieved.

The mass gathering at the hall also witnessed the virtual national launch of VB-G RAM G. The Program was graced by the attendance of Dr. Riamei Jangmei, MCS, SDC (HQ); Yurreikan Jungyo, MCS, SDC (HQ); Duna Duo, MCS, SDO of Jessami; Roland Ningshen, MCS, SDO of Chingai; and all the DLOs of different departments under the District Administration.

The launching program today was a notable success with a turn up from approximately 500 attendees.

The program concluded with Polly Makan, PD/ADM, Ukhrul delivering the vote of thanks.
