The Kuki CSO Working Committee Ukhrul on Tuesday issued an ‘Emergency Notice” urging to remain alert and vigilant. However, it also strongly advised not to fall prey to such propaganda or misinformation.

The press release issued by WCKCSOS-Ukhrul stated “this is to inform the public that there is an ongoing law and order situation involving incidents of arson reportedly carried out by certain groups in Ukhrul.

“At the same time, there are attempts by individuals with vested interests to spread misinformation and propaganda in the Litan Sareikhong and Sinakeithei areas, with the apparent aim of escalating tensions and diverting attention from the situation in Ukhrul.

“The Kuki population in the above-mentioned areas is hereby urged to remain alert and vigilant. However, it is strongly advised not to fall prey to such propaganda or misinformation.

“All are requested to exercise restraint and refrain from any form of retaliatory action that could further aggravate the situation” added the statement issued by WCKCSOS-Ukhrul.
