The Government of The People’s Republic of Nagalim through the Ministry of Information and Publicity on Wednesday refutes the unverified viral news.
Some news outlets have reported a power struggles in NSCN over the promotion of the Naga army. However, the NSCN has flatly refuted the claim, and has stated that there is no such struggle within the organisation.
The statement issued by MIP, NSCN/GPRN stated that “NSCN express indignation against the digital media platforms to sensationalize unverified news emanating from some elements spreading misinformation regarding the Yaruiwo’s order on the promotion of Maj.General Honreishang Shadang MSM, MC, who was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General and designated to succeed General Anthony Ningkhan as Longvibu, Naga Army.
“This is the collective decision of NSCN leadership guided by the Naga Army Rules and Regulations. No unilateral decision is applied in this kind of high profile Naga Army Chief and no such thing as power struggle exists in any respect whatsoever. A concocted piece of information by certain elements should not be magnified by the digital media platforms to serve vested interests.”
“The order issued by Yaruiwo on 29th October, 2025 stands as it is” said the statement.
