CAPP Destroys Manure Meant For Poppy Cultivation

The office of the Committee Against Poppy Plantation (CAPP), Zalenbung Gamkai, Ukhrul District, Manipur on Wednesday destroyed manure meant for poppy cultivation at Shongphel, Mullam and Lamlai Chingphei.

In a press release issued by S. Haokip, Convenor CAPP stated that, “the Committee Against Poppy Plantation (CAPP) carried out destruction of manure used by poppy cultivators in three locations viz. Shongphel, Mulllam and Lamlai Chingphei.

“It is a reminder to all the poppy cultivators in our area that such destruction will be carried out anytime in the future.

The committee appeals to all the concerned authority, right thinkers, Church leaders and individuals to support and give full cooperation in total eradication of poppy plantations in our area.
