NSCN/GPRN For Non-Interference of Development Projects Earmarked For Naga Hills By Valley Based Armed Groups

The Government of The People’s Republic of Nagalim, Cabinet Secretariat on 4 November 2025 issued a notification cautioning the valley based armed organisations not to interfere in the developmental projects earmarked for the Naga areas. It also cautioned the concerned department to sincerely execute their duty.

The notification issued by Captain (Retd.) TH. Rainam, Cabinet Secretary to the GPRN and Captain (Retd.) K.K. Lamkang, Joint Secretary to the GPRN, stated that, “in the backdrop of the illicit working systems of Manipur valley-based armed organizations with the departmental authorities, which is directly or indirectly hampering the developmental projects/activities in the Naga Hill Areas; this notification is issued in the best interest of all concerned that, the Hill people have not and will not interfere in developmental projects/activities in the Manipur Valley.

“That, it is cautioned and expected that the valley-based armed organizations do not needlessly encumber themselves with projects earmarked for the Hills.

“That, concerned departments are also notified through this to be cautious and devout themselves in sincerely executing their administration.

“That, taking due cognizance and respecting the sentiments of the different communities will go a long way in developing our own respective spheres of infrastructures, its land and the people.”

“This Notification is issued in continuation of the Ministry of Kilo Affair’s Directive dated 11 March, 2025, Memo No. 23-23/23-24/DIRCT/MKA/GPRN and the Order dated 26 August, 2025, Memo No. 42-05/25-26/ORDR/MKA/GPRN, and as instructed by the concerned competent authority” added the statement.
