The Naga People’s Front (NPF) of 45-Chingai Assembly Constituency, Ukhrul District, Manipur on Saturday celebrated pre-christmas and get-together at the residence of Hon’ble MLA Khashim Vashum at Hamleikhong, Ukhrul.

In his speech, MLA Khashim Vashum urged the family members (party workers) to sincerely celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ in their hearts which symbolises hope, love, and salvation. He acknowledged the contribution and support of the family members (people of 45-Chingai Assembly Constituency) and extended his heartfelt gratitude to each and everyone for their unceasing support and love.

Dr. Arthur Ronra Shimray, Director Nouthesia Paraklesei and Parmutheomai (NPP) Counselling Training Centre, Ukhrul delivered the message. He shared the origin and ideas of the NPF party. Based on the basis of the party motto “Fide Non Armis”, he urged the party workers to reflect their commitment to peaceful, democratic means to achieve Naga aspirations and goals. His message dwells on building each other and unity among the people.

Shimreingam Zimik, President of NPF 45-Chingai AC in his welcome speech calls for unity among the NPF party workers. He elaborated the challenges faced by the party with the coming of the Covid-19 and May 2023 incident that had paralysed the proper functioning of Manipur. Nevertheless, he hopes that the popular Government will come back soon in the trouble torn state of Manipur, so that the party will also rise to serve the interest of the people in the coming days.

Special performance by famous Tangkhul artists like Shimreingam Horam, Winso Chamroy, Shimshang Pheirei, Nimzingla Horam, Valleyson Horam added more flavour to the get-together. Hundreds of party workers from different corners attended the programme.
