MNYO: Salami Slicing Tactic Use By Naga Adversaries

The Manipur Naga Youth Organisation (MNYO) while endorsing the ongoing indefinite bandh launched by Foothills Naga Coordination Committee (FNCC) strongly warns the tactics of SALAMI SLICING – a divide-and-conquer tactic used to dominate Naga ancestral territory, piece by piece by the adversaries of Nagas.

The letter of endorsement stated, “The Manipur Naga Youth Organisation (MNYO-HQ), its units, and associate bodies held an Executive Council meeting on the 21st of July 2025 and unanimously resolved to fully endorse the peaceful ongoing indefinite bandh launched by the Foothills Naga Co-ordination Committee (FNCC) in protest against:

1. The proposed construction of Tiger/German Road through Naga ancestral land without consent.

2. Kuki militants’ Suspension of Operation (SoO) Camps in Naga ancestral land and construction of Kukiland Gates in Naga areas.

3. Poppy plantation and drug trafficking in Naga inhabited areas.

The MNYO also calls upon all Naga tribes of Manipur and its civil society organizations to support the FNCC’s cause without which our land and resources will be sliced away bit by bit through the policy and tactics of SALAMI SLICING by the adversaries of Nagas.

“It is the right time to raise our voice and stand united in defence of our land and resources from illegal encroachers. The MNYO-HQ fully supports the peaceful and democratic blockade launched by the FNCC” added the statement.
