The Chakhroma Youth Organisation, Headquarters Medziphema, Chumoukedima District, Nagaland on Monday served a 7 day ultimatum to the Chairman of Maova Village Council.

The press release issued by the Information & Publicity Wing Chakhroma Youth Organisation stated that “it has come to our notice that certain miscreants from Maova Village were involved in the planned, pre-mediated attack on Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) President and colleagues utilizing catapults, rocks and projectiles on 13th February 2026, when they had gone to your village in good faith to hold peaceful dialogue, resulting in grievous injury to our leaders and volunteers which is unacceptable.

“In view of the seriousness of the matter and in the interest of maintaining peace, harmony and mutual respect among neighboring communities, you are hereby directed to appear before CPO Leaders in person, along with Mr. Seiboi Changsan, GB and individuals responsible for the said act of violence against our leaders, at CPO Hall, Chümoukedima Town for necessary clarification and settlement”.

“Furthermore, you are directed to comply with this ultimatum within seven (7) days (latest by 23rd February 2026) from the date of issuance of this notice. Failure to do so will compel the Chakhroma Youth Organisation to take appropriate decisions and actions deemed necessary under Angami customary law and established resolutions, for which you and Mr. Seiboi Changsan, GB will be held solely responsible and accountable for the act of violence against CPO Leaders” added the press release of CYO.
