The office of Mao Football Association felicitated referee Thumli Joyshing Monsang for being the first Naga Elite National Referee of All India Football Federation on the occasion of the Semi Final Match of Mao League 2025 held at Asufii Football Academy Astro Turf Ground at Punanamei, Mao.
The Certificate of Felicitation was presented to Thumli Joyshing Monsang by the honourable MLA of 48-Mao AC, L Dikho and Advisor – Mao Football Association.
Th. Joyshing Monsang has set a good example for football lovers and motivated many through his action through his dedication and hard work. His journey as a referee has inspires many. From starting out as a goalkeeper at the Sirti Olympic Association, a humble sporting event of the Monsang community to becoming a Category-1 National Elite Referee, Joyshing has shown whatโs possible when you chase your passion and dream with sincerity.
When he stepped in to officiate due to a shortage of referees that day, little did he know it would ignite a calling that would shape his life and make Manipur proud. He quickly climbed the ranks from Category-5 referee in 2013 to Category-1 National Elite Referee, a title he has earned through years of commitment and excellence.
Along the way, he has proudly officiated in many prestigious tournaments in state and national level.
