The daring involvement of KNA-B alongside Kuki terrorists at Ningchou and Chassad areas of Manipur and another simulatneous attack at Makui Ashang village under Kangpokpi resulting to 10 deaths including an ISIS like beheading of a civillan tantamounts to a case of external aggression. KNA-B intrusion can only happen on the invitation from their Kuki kindreds backed by some central Forces and their involvement is not an isolated case as the MNYO recalls the KNA-B performing Budhist spell chanting and drumming revelries on the eve of the Kukis’ first and savageous attack at Sinakeithei Tangkhu I village on 17th March, 2026 apart from butchering of Khonsakhul civilian captives in May this year.
Highway dacoity, unprovoked assaults and harassment on Naga civilians in Kuki villages predating even 2025 could just be a ploy of a more sinister game plan to drag the Nagas into a deeper socio-political cornundrum creating a “Tempest in a teacup” situation at the behest of some mightier force.
The complacency and nonchalant attitude of tite Indian Forces despite their intelligence and equipment is nothing but willfully faigning ignorance. Conflicts in Manipur are more of political and land issues that both the centre and the state Governments can’t ignore.
Prolong continuation of such elements could land India into an unfavorable position in its regional and international policies adversely giving advantage to it’s not so friendly neighbours all around.
While appreciating his Excellency the Governor of Manipur Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla and the DGP, Mukesh Singh for their profound concern dispatching State Forces in vulnerable areas as requested, the MNYO urges for the growing need of more personnel in such vulnerable areas as reported including convoys along Yaingangpokpi-Litan-TM Kasom and Kangpokpi – Senapati Highway road sections.
“The MNYO further urges the hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah to take stock of the serious threat of challenging human existence by the Kuki terrorists even as he had stated to eradicate all insurgencies in the Northeast in 2029. We also urge the hon’ble CM and Home Minister to retract their denial of KNA-B and external Forces involvement in Manipur unrest instead of echoing dictates from some despots. Both the centre and the state Governments must declare the armed conflicts in Manipur as a case of external aggression” stated the press release signed by Worthington Mahung, President, MNYO and Poudinlung Riamei, Vice President (Adm) MNYO.
