The Joint Tribes Council Manipur (JTCM) has strongly condemned the recent arson and the brutal, insensible attacks carried out by the ZUF (J) against their own indigenous Naga Village Guard who are safeguarding Bitiang Village (Laphok) of Noney District.

The statement reads, “the Joint Tribes Council Manipur (JTCM), representing the collective interests of the Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei, and Inpui communities, issues this urgent and unequivocal statement regarding the recent wave of violence perpetrated against our people.

“We strongly condemn the recent arson and the brutal, insensible attacks carried out by the ZUF (J) against our own indigenous Naga Village Guard who are safeguarding Bitiang Village (Laphok), Noney District. These acts of aggression are not only cowardly but represent a direct assault on the peace, safety, and integrity of our territorial boundaries during this highly volatile and unrest period.

“We issue the following clear directives to all individuals, organizations, and village authorities within our territories:

1. You must stand firmly with the JTCM and the communities of the Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei, and Inpui against these heinous acts.

2. Any individual or group that refuses to stand with us, or that offers solace, support, or safe passage to the Cannibal Narco-Terrorist Kuki elements who are acting as intruders in our land will be viewed as hostile actors.

“Let it be known that the JTCM will treat any alignment with the intruders and collaborators as an act of betrayal against our people. There is no space within our ancestral territories for those who fraternize with the enemy. There is no place for people who are friends with the intruders and cannibals in our Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei, and Inpui communities’ territory.

“The JTCM will take all necessary measures against any individual, family, or village found to be aiding, abetting, or sympathizing with the enemy. We will treat such actions as a declaration that they are against the collective survival of our indigenous population.

“We call upon our community members to remain vigilant, united, and resolute. We urge the authorities to take immediate action to curb the violence, but we make it clear that we will defend our territory and our people against any external or internal threat” stated the statement issued by the Media Cell, Joint Tribes Council Manipur.
