The Emporium Skills Training Institute, Manipur (ESTIM) signed MoU with St.Joseph’s College, Ukhrul Higher Secondary School and Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Ukhrul for providing employment linked skills training.

Through this initiative, ESTIM will provide employment linked skills training and world class employment opportunities to the students who are currently pursuing their class 12 and under graduate level programmes. Students will be skilled right after their graduation/board exams and will be provided with direct placement/job opportunities across the globe.

NEP 2020 strongly emphasizes vibrant university-industry linkages to enhance student employability and make them globally competent. It encourages internships, practical training, and collaborations with national and international organizations and industries to build relevant skills. The policy aims to integrate vocational education into mainstream education, with at least 50% of students having access to vocational training by 2025. This collaboration is based on the guidelines of the NEP 2020.

Highlights of the MoU:

1. Skill Training will be provided for the interested students of class 12 / final semester after their final year/board exams. Aspirants who have completed class 10 & above from any secondary/higher secondary school or college in Ukhrul will be able to take admission for this employment linked skill training programme.

2. Placements will be provided worldwide in leading airlines, five star luxury hotels, international airports, cruise-lines, health, retail, IT and various other sectors as per eligibility and industry parameters in India and overseas under the Skill India International initiative.

3. Post placement tracking report will be submitted to the school/college.

4. Copies of all offer letters for all the selected students will be submitted to the student/college.

5. ESTIM will also arrange and conduct campus interviews within the college/school premises for various industries/organizations to provide campus placement opportunities.

6.Overseas placements in over 20 countries will be provided to skilled, eligible candidates with Indian passports.

Students/aspirants from all schools and colleges across Ukhrul may take this opportunity.
