The Combined Annual Training Camp of 65(M) Girls Battalion National Cadet Corps (NCC) concluded on Tuesday at St. Joseph College, Ukhrul, Manipur.

Speaking at the occasion, Camp Commander Colonel Patma Kumar stated that “this is the first time that a full fledged NCC camp is being organised in Ukhrul. In 2026 we have achieved what many of us could not believe that we could actually host the full fledged cam here. The biggest takeaway from this CATC is the close knit interaction. At the same time the greatest setback is the strength of the cadets have drastically dropped. However, the cadets are reminded to attend the forthcoming camp schedule in November”.

Camp Commander Colonel Patma Kumar gave away the prize winner of the CATC-170.

CDT Leiyanim Zingkhai of Pettigrew College received the overall best cadet of CATC-170. She also received the best cadet in rifle firing. SUO SK Worshonthei of St. Joseph College received the best in drill category.

SUO S Sita Devi, JUO Kim Mangkung, SGT Sonim C Shimray, CDT Pamyophy Mawon, CQMH Shangmiwon Khayi and CDT Leiyami Zingkhai of Pettigrew College, Ukhrul were declared the best in tent pitching.

Special commendation card for para basic course qualified was given to CPL Mathuimi Kasar of Pettigrew College.
