Alfred Kanngam S Arthur (Hon’ble MP) was re-elected uncontested as the President of Ukhrul District Sports Association (UDSA) for the tenure 2026-2030.
An ardent promoter of football, Alfred Kanngam S Arthur was first elected as President of UDSA in 2021 and was re-elected to head the UDSA on 19 September 2026.
President elect Alfred Kanngam S Arthur thanked the senior members of UDSA led by Sira Ragui (Former President UDSA), Paul Muinao (Former President UDSA), Dr. Somi Sareo, YL. Growforth and Humbumngam Zimik for their active role in constituting the new Executive Council of UDSA. He also thanked the Election Commission of UDSA for successfully conducting the election.
The other elected Executive Council of UDSA are Khayui Raleng (Vice President), AS. Somingam (Vice President), Yaongam Sareo (Treasurer), Kharkhui Raleng (Secretary) Angaritsing Zimik (Secretary) and Bejoy Luithui (Secretary). The remaining posts will be filled in the coming days. They were all elected uncontested.
Rev. Zaklei Kaping, Pastor of Phungyo Baptist Church invoked the blessing for the newly elected Executive Council of UDSA.
