Yaruiwo: President Rule Imposed In Wung Tangkhul Region

The Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim has imposed President Rule in the Wung Tangkhul Region and has constituted Provisional Authorities to discharge the administrative responsibilities.

Q. Tuccu, the Yaruiwo of the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim on 16 June 2026, issued the order for imposition of Presidential Rule in the Wung Tangkhul Region.

The statement reads, “whereas, the National Security council of the People’s Republic of Nagalim has reviewed the prevailing situation in the Wung Tangkhul Region and is of the opinion that normal administration is not feasible at present;

“Now, therefore, in exercise of the power vested under the Yehzabo of Nagalim, Article 3, Serial No. (viii), I, the Yaruiwo is compelled to impose Presidential Rule in the Wung Tangkhul Region with immediate effect.

“And whereas, during the imposition of Presidential Rule, the following dignitaries are hereby constituted as Provisional Authorities to discharge the responsibilities of the regional administration of the Wung Tangkhul Region (WTR):

1. Maj. Gen. (Retd) Ramkhathing Varah– MM,MC -Convenor

2. Maj. Gen. (Retd) K. Paisho-MM Member

3. Col. (Retd) Chinaoyo Kachui – Member

4. Mr. Wungnaoyung Sayai– Member

5. Maj. Gen. Kapangkhui Shaiza -MSM – Member

6. Mr. Ng. Thotmaya – Member Secretary

“Therefore, the responsibilities hitherto authorized to the Kilo Ministry vide Memo No. 13/GPRN/ORD-46/YO/26 of dated 8th April 2026 are hereby transferred to the newly constituted administration team with immediate effect. This arrangement shall remain in force until normalcy is restored in the Wung Tangkhul region” added the statement.
