Tangkhul students who have scored 90% and above in the Class X and Class XII Examinations 2026 are hereby invited to apply for the Maj Ralengnao Bob Khathing Memorial Meritorious Award on or before 31 August 2026.
The circular issued by John Somi R. Khathing stated that “as in earlier years, the Maj. Ralengnao ‘Bob’ Khathing Memorial Meritorious Awards will be presented to Tangkhul students who appeared and scored the highest marks in Class X and Class XII Board Examination 2026 from any education Board in the country (involving all syllabi). Any Tangkhul student who scored an overall percentage of 90% and above in these examinations is eligible to apply for the Award. The highest and second highest scorer in Class X and the highest and second highest scorer in Class XII (Science, Arts and Commerce, ie: 3 separate streams) will be so awarded.”
“The awards will be as follows:
FOR CLASS X –
a) The highest scorer will receive Rs. 30,000/- plus Certificate
b) The second highest scorer will receive Rs 20,000/- plus Certificate
FOR CLASS XII –
a) Highest scorer (separately) for Science/Arts/Commerce) will receive Rs 40,000/-plus Certificate
b) Second highest scorer (for each of the 3 streams) will receive Rs 30,000/- plus Certificate

The application should contain the following information:-
1. Student Name and Date of Birth (dd/mm/yyyy)
2. Mother’s Name (with contact number) and Father’s Name (with contact number)
3. Name of Home Village/Town
4. Name of school/institution
5. Examination appeared (School Board to be mentioned)
6. Overall percentage obtained with attested copy of marksheet from Head of the School/Institution or any Gazetted Officer
7. Photo ID proof (photocopy, preferably of school/institution ID card)
8. Full postal address for communication
Additionally, contact number(s) to be furnished. Personal contact of the applicant is preferred but alternative number(s) of parents/relatives can be given along with clear information of the relationship with the applicant.
Applications will be received till 31st August 2026, which would be the last date for receipt of applications. Any applications received after 31st August 2026 will not be considered, unless prior intimation of delay with just cause has been given by the applicant before 31st August 2026.
The successful awardees will be informed separately of their selection. The award winners would also be informed of the location/venue details at a later date.
