The Angami Public Organisation (APO) has warned the Kuki to refrain from any ambition and or design that may hamper the age old tradition of peaceful co-existence.
The press release issued by Thejae Vihienuo, President of APO and Kenellesa Neikhá, General Secretary of APO stated that, “the Angami Public Organization (APO) is shocked at the manner in which the citizens of Maova Village treated the President and leaders of Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO), who went to meet their leaders for an amicable solution for certain issues that were hampering the peaceful co-existence of the two communities. The preplanned organized attack on the President and leaders of CPO is a direct challenge for physical confrontation and most uncalled for. The APO is thankful to the leaders of CPO for restraining their youth from going on rampage and violence.
“Reports about the changing attitude of some of the Kukis in Angami territory following recent developments in our neighbourhood are with the APO. We are also observing the growing influx of Kukis into our territory.
“In view of the prevailing situation the Angami Public Organization urge the Kukis who, by the kindness of our forefathers, were granted permission to settle in the Angami territory to remain grateful and refrain from any ambition and or design that may hamper the age old tradition of peaceful co-existence.”
“The APO hopes that better sense shall prevail and that the leaders of Maova Village and Chakhroma Public Organisation shall resolve the issues without further escalation” added the press release.
